One alternative to painting on canvas is to use pour painting techniques on plastic sheeting, and then peel off the skin when it is dry.
Canvases often come in shrink-wrap to protect them. I pour paint right onto the shrink-wrap. Then I use the canvas for a regular pour painting after the shrink-wrap is removed as part of peeling the skin. Here's my blog page about how to make and use skins: http://capturedchaosart.com/skins |
