An open cup pour is the name given to the technique of putting a cylinder onto the canvas and putting different colors of paint into it without letting any of the paint out. Then the open cup is slightly lifted letting the paint out a little at a time. I'll usually cover the canvas with one color first, that way the paint spreads out without the pattern on top changing much. |
